Ulbe is a Print Evangelist and manages Print Power, an industry initiative to promote the use of (advertising in) print media. Print media have a proven contribution to the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. After the introduction in 2009, Print Power is re-launched this year in the UK, Germany and France. Initial results of the campaign show excellent uptake of the campaign by brand owners, media and advertising agencies.
A strong believer in measurable results, Ulbe was co-founder of the Effie Awards in Belgium and won an Effie Award for a Unilever brand. He was also involved in the introduction of the Euro-Effies in Brussels and a jury member.
His background is with advertising agencies Ogilvy, TBWA/Hakuhodo and BBDO, where he worked on clients such as Shell, American Express, Philips, Canon Europe, Unilever, Suedzucker, Sappi Europe and Ricoh Europe.
